Goldenke 11 is a delicate sparkling honey wine, handcrafted on a historic summer estate by the riverbank. The estate is located in the village of Sieber, nestled in a valley surrounded by the Harz Mountains. Here, the Goldenke River flows into the Sieber River — the very confluence that inspired the name of our wine.
This is more than just a beautiful place — it’s a meaningful one. Over the centuries, the region was home to various Germanic tribes and later became a hub of mining activity. Around 200 years ago, during this era, the Goldenke 11 manor house was built in Sieber. This historic building, with its intricate network of cellar rooms, once served as a tavern for the owner’s family. We have since transformed this former inn into a wine cellar, where our sparkling honey wine undergoes its second fermentation under ideal climatic conditions and is aged in bottles.
Today, Sieber is a cherished tourist destination. The Harz region — along with this picturesque village — has become part of a national park spanning approximately 247 square kilometers. The area is rich in natural beauty and legend, with notable landmarks such as the Brocken, the Harz’s highest peak, famously referenced in Goethe’s Faust.
This land of legends, folklore, and history is the birthplace of Goldenke 11. Inspired by majestic mountains, flowing rivers, the whispers of history, and the mystical energy of the region, our wine carries a distinct spirit. Goldenke 11 becomes a part of your story — a symbol of personal celebration and a sparkling token of joy.
